Warbirds Over Monroe Air Show
November 10 - November 11
Saturday and Sunday, November 10 and 11, 9:00 a.m.– 6:00 p.m.
It’s back and bigger and better than ever. “Warbirds” is one of the largest civilian annual air shows on the East Coast. This year’s event features the Sky Soldiers, the exciting demonstration troop of the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation and Museum. The show features combat parachute jumps, Huey and the Cobra Helicopter rides, and viewings of historic aircraft of the Cold War and Vietnam era.
See some very famous aircraft like the C54 Spirit of Freedom, a traveling museum on the Berlin Airlift; the National Warplane Museum’s B17 Memphis Belle, the actual plane used in the movie of the same name; and a fully operational ME262, Germany’s WWII jetfighter and the first jet warplane. In fact, over forty vintage warbirds, aerobatics planes, choppers, jets, reenactors, and so much more bring history to life. Grandkids will not only learn about American history, but also honor the brave service men and women as part of a great Veterans Day celebration. Cameras are welcome.
